Dear Friends,

It seems as though a lot has happened in the last few weeks and so we are especially excited to share with you this update. As we make every effort to build God’s Kingdom and continue to see Trinity Scarborough grow in every way we need to be reminded of these words: “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain” (Psalm 127:1).

We are grateful to God for granting opportunities to hand out many hundreds of Trinity Church leaflets and Essentials books at Scarborough Athletics' (local football team) first game in their new stadium. We had a great time talking to people, encouraging them to visit us on a Sunday and the children even went away with some sweets. We have continued this week in a similar fashion by handing out leaflets and resources in the town center. This has already led to many wonderful conversations including invitations to church and conversations about the existence of God and the uniqueness of Jesus! Please pray for lots of fruit as a result of this outreach (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday). We are also praying that our Sunday evening evangelism training will be used to equip us as a church to be sharing the gospel with all kinds of people we know.

We are also thrilled by an excellent start to our 4 Growth Groups (small groups). They meet at various times throughout the week and provide a chance for us to continue to apply Gods Word deeply to our lives as we continue to engage with the section of the Bible preached on the previous Sunday. Please pray these groups are used to see real transformation in the lives of all of us at Trinity and act as a platform to reaching out to the many lost people around us.

Finally we are delighted to announce the arrival of Dean as a Ministry Trainee at the church. Dean will be volunteering half of his week to the church and has great evangelistic zeal. Please pray God uses our brother to lead many to Jesus and that he continues to grow in Christlikeness throughout his time with us.

Many thanks for your prayers,
Trinity Church Scarborough
