ReNew South Yorkshire Conference

Over the last couple of years, several Anglican ministers in South Yorkshire have met under the banner of ‘ReNew,’ a national initiative to pioneer, establish and secure Bible-believing churches in every community. This year we are joining together for the inaugural ReNew South Yorkshire conference on the 4th March. The aim is to form partnerships between churches in the area and the theme of the conference is evangelism. Praise God for the opportunity and freedom to host an event like this, and praise Him that it has been enthusiastically received (and even over-subscribed). Please pray for the practicalities of this event, that the day would be a success and the children’s programme would run smoothly.

Easter at CCW

Our annual Easter Egg Hunt takes place on Saturday 8th April in the park, followed by hot cross buns and Easter activities at the Community Centre. This event was a lot bigger than expected last year so please pray that we would be well prepared this year, that there would be good attendance and opportunities to follow up.

We also have our Church family gathering on Good Friday - a short time of prayer, worship and study followed by lunch together. Please pray that it would be a good time together to remember and thank God for what He did for us.

For the first time this year we are holding three guest services across Easter (9th, 16th and 23rd April) entitled Easter: Why bother with Jesus? Each service will stand alone and be a basic Gospel explanation of Jesus' ministry and mission and what that means for us. Please pray that as we go around the shops and businesses in Walkley the week before, people would engage with us. Please pray for boldness in inviting friends along and that there would be enthusiastic attendance and genuine interest. Please also pray with us for smooth running of these events, for the practicalities to come together and for energy to run the events properly. Ask that we would trust God to be working through us, for His glory.
